Rising Music Star Jin Ju at La Pergola with ‘I Virtuosi Italiani’

Amici della Musica Firenze’s concert season continues this Saturday, October 19, at 4 pm in the historic Teatro della Pergola. Jin Ju will perform her solos on the piano accompanied by the Virtuosi Italiani ensemble, with a program solely dedicated to Chopin. The pieces comprise Concerto No. 1 in E minor, for piano and orchestra, op. 11 and the Concerto No. 2 in F minor for piano and orchestra, op. 21 (chamber version).

Known internationally as one of the most interesting artists of her generation and considered in China one of the country’s greatest talents, Jin Ju is an ever rising star in the music world. Her collaborations include the China National Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, Belgian National Orchestra, Russia State Symphony, Oslo Symphony Orchestra, to name a few. Her record production has won the ECHO Klassik Award in 2012, as the Best Record of the Year, for German label MDG.

As one of the most prominent groups on the international music scene, Virtuosi Italiani has made more than 100 recordings with major companies and with over 500,000 records sold worldwide. Among their most impressive performances is the Concert for the Senate of the Italian Republic that was broadcast live on RAI 1, the “Concert for Life and Peace” which took place in Rome, Bethlehem and Jerusalem and was broadcast by RAI worldwide, and their concert at the Sala Nervi in the Vatican in the presence of the Pope.
