History of Chianti Winemaking Taìk & Tasting

This talk will focus on the creation of the Chianti consortium and the development of new agricultural practices and winemaking in this renowned wind region. The invention of the different Chianti’s subzones and the evolution of wine production from manual to mechanization have completely changed the wine. A short discussion of the traditional grapes in  Chianti leading into a tasting of three different wines …  made by the speaker himself!

Guido Gualandi owns a farm in Tuscany and is a member of the Consorzio del Chianti Colli Fiorentini. He also teaches at Gonzaga University in Florence.
