Violinist Frank Zimmerman Headlines a Chamber Concert at the Pergola

World-renowned violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann will be headlining at Teatro della Pergola (via della Pergola) together with pianist Dmytro Choni on Saturday, February 15 at 4 pm. The duo will interpret works by Brahms, Szymanowski, Schubert and Bartok.
They will be interpreting Schubert’s Variations on Lied “Trockne Blümen;” D. 802; Szymanowski’s “Mity op. 30;” Brahm’s “Sonata n. 1 in F minor, op. 120, n. 1” and Bartok’s “Sonata n. 2.”
Zimmerman has performed in the world’s major concert halls for the past 30 years. He has won many awards, including the one from the prestigious Chigiana Academy, and was nominated for a Grammy award. He will be playing a 1711 Stradivari violin. Choni won a bronze medal at the Cliburn International Piano Competition after winning the Leeds International Piano Competition.
